2025 Mazda3 Range Arrives
Auckland, 30 January 2025.
2025 model year examples of the Mazda3 have begun arriving in dealerships across the country. Leaving its award-winning exterior design and high-class interior unchanged the Mazda3 moves to a Hatch-only range for the new year.
With over 33,000 joining New Zealand roads the Mazda3 has been adored by customers since its debut. The current generation Mazda3 continues to build on the success enjoyed by four generations and over 20 years in the local market.
Today’s fourth-generation Mazda3 takes Kodo design one-step further, treating the car as a work of art. The result is a new level of sophistication and elegance inspired by the central elements of Japanese aesthetics. With clean lines and unique proportions, the sporty hatchback conveys a sense of anticipation and energy that creates a strong emotional appeal.

The 2025 range
Opening the Mazda3 range, the GSX continues its leading position offering compelling value along with high levels of technology and safety.
The GSX offers a strong level of equipment to accentuate comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers. The driver will always feel in control with a colour Active Driving Display projected onto the windscreen with all important driving data, accompanied by a 7-inch TFT display within the instrument cluster.
Supplemented with cylinder deactivation technology, the 2.0 litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine delivers 114 kW and 200 Nm, though with convincing fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures of 6.6 l/100km and 153 g/km respectively.
The Mazda3 SP25 restores a celebrated nameplate to the range. Superseding GTX, the new SP25 combines Mazda’s recognised SKYACTIV-G 2.5 litre petrol engine in a modern, stylish and distinctive offer. Output figures of 139 kW and 252 Nm are produced by the unstressed powertrain, achieving 7.3 l/100km and 171 g/km.
Generous 18-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss black provide a striking impact, particularly when paired with gloss black exterior mirrors and black exterior accents. Red stitching adds a dynamic highlight to the interior trim.
The Mazda3 Homura joins the range in place of the former Limited model variant. Electric glass sunroof and adaptive LED headlights externally identify the ascent to Homura, while the luxurious interior continues to feature leather upholstery with heated and electrically adjustable seats, and a high-power Bose 12-speaker audio system. Homura also adds the convenience of 360-degree View Monitor camera system to its already generous levels of standard equipment.
Headlining the 2025 Mazda3 range, the Takami continues to offer the innovative SKYACTIV-X M Hybrid engine. With its ability to burn petrol more efficiently thanks to Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI), the Mazda3 Takami makes more power yet produces fewer emissions than a comparable petrol engine. The Mazda3 Takami returns 6.1 l/100km and 150 g/km, whilst headline outputs are rated at 132 kW and 224 Nm.
Exclusively, Mazda3 Takami is available with a unique burgundy red leather interior, providing an even greater sense of opulence within the cabin.
