Environmental Initiatives

Zoom-Zoom means having a car that is fun to drive and even more satisfying to own. Our focus on developing even more fuel efficient and clean burning engines delivers on that promise.

In March 2007, we introduced the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom plan which includes our goal of raising the average fuel efficiency of Mazda cars worldwide by 30% by 2015. At the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show we followed this up by introducing our revolutionary SKYACTIV technology platform, highlighted by new petrol and diesel engines as well as new transmissions and advancements in lightweight design technology.

And there's still more to come! Our research and development teams in Japan, America and Europe continue to work toward our vision for Sustainable Zoom-Zoom and we look forward to delivering further improvements in the future as more design innovation and technological advancements become available.
