RESTORING OUR NATIVE ENVIRONMENT. FOR EVERY NEW MAZDA SOLD, WE DONATE FIVE NATIVE TREES TO TREES THAT COUNT.

Mazda New Zealand is proud to support Trees That Count, becoming one of their biggest funders of native trees.

As a group, for every new Mazda sold, Mazda donates 5 trees to Trees That Count.

The native trees funded through this partnership are planted and cared for by various communities across New Zealand. Over each vehicles’ 5-year warranty term, these 5 trees will not only help to mitigate any environmental impact from CO2 emissions, but they will also contribute to the ecosystems in which they are planted.

As part of Mazda's sustainability programme, our partnership with Trees That Count is not only providing significant environmental benefits across New Zealand but also mitigating parts of our carbon footprint. Since 2018 we've proudly donated more than 157,000 native trees!

Trees That Count is an online community marketplace that provides a place for all New Zealanders to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.

In addition to donating five native trees to Trees That Count for every new car we sell, we’re also proud to support Trees That Count with two hardworking vehicles which are prominently adorned with native tree illustrations.

Frequently loaded with trees and equipment for community planting days they are a roving billboard spreading awareness of our partnership. The vehicles also help the Trees That Count team to travel around the country to visit and provide help to planting projects they support with free native trees.

Together with Trees That Count we are making a difference. Each small improvement will leave a better planet.
